As a Microsoft Cloud Security Sr. Technical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Security Solutions within Microsoft's cloud environment.  

Your primary focus will be on ensuring the security, compliance, and integrity of cloud-based resources and data, leveraging tools and services such as Intune, Azure Entra Premium features, Microsoft Purview (Azure Information Protection), Microsoft Defender Suite, DLP (Data Loss Prevention), and MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication). Leveraging expertise in Microsoft 365 security technologies and best practices, the engineer designs, implements, and maintains security solutions to protect against cyber threats, unauthorized access, and data breaches for Customer’s needs.

 

About the Position:

You will play a pivotal role in executing multiple projects, providing ownership, analyzing requirements, leading the implementation process, and following best practices deployment of Microsoft Security Services.


Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain security solutions within the Microsoft 365 environment, including Microsoft Defender Suite, Intune, Azure Entra Premium features, Microsoft Purview, DLP, and MFA.
  • Conduct security assessments and risk analyses to identify vulnerabilities, assess potential impacts, and prioritize remediation efforts across Microsoft 365 services and applications.
  • Develop and implement security policies, standards, and procedures to enforce compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Configure and manage identity and access management (IAM) solutions, including Azure Entra ID, Conditional Access policies, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and Privileged Identity Management (PIM).
  • Monitor security alerts, incidents, and events using Microsoft 365 Security Center and Microsoft Sentinel, and respond to security incidents in a timely and effective manner.
  • Implement Microsoft Purview Solution including Labeling , Data Classification and Policies.
  • Implement data loss prevention (DLP) policies, encryption mechanisms, and information protection solutions to safeguard sensitive data and prevent unauthorized disclosure.
  • Design and implement Microsoft Intune policies to manage device configuration, compliance, and security settings across Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android devices.
  • Integrate Microsoft Intune with other Microsoft 365 services, such as Azure Entra ID, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, and Microsoft SCCM, to extend endpoint protection and enhance security posture.
  • Provide guidance and support to end users, administrators, and stakeholders on security best practices, security awareness training, and incident response procedures.
  • Stay informed about emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security trends related to Microsoft 365 technologies, and recommend proactive measures to mitigate risks.
  • Document security configurations, procedures, and guidelines for the Microsoft 365 environment, and participate in audits, assessments, and compliance activities as required.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive security architecture for Microsoft cloud environments.
  • Maintain clear and detailed documentation of security configurations, policies, and procedures. 
  • Proficiency in PowerShell for automation and data analysis.

Qualification (Education/Work Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing security solutions within the Microsoft 365 environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft 365 security technologies, including Microsoft Defender Suite, Intune, Azure Entra Premium features, Microsoft Purview, DLP, and MFA.
  • Strong understanding of identity and access management (IAM) principles, authentication mechanisms, and encryption standards.
  • Experience with security incident detection, investigation, and response using Microsoft 365 Security Center, Microsoft Sentinel, and other security tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex security issues and recommend effective solutions.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Recommended: Industry certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals, Microsoft Certified: Security Administrator Associate including SC-200, SC-300, and SC-400.
  • Minimum 3 Years of Experience in Microsoft Security Solutions.
