Migration from IBM Lotus Notes to Office 365


The client was facing issues with legacy email system and did not have enough flexibility to handle huge amounts of data and management processes. They needed full visibility into the storage issues, and their employees were hugely in need for effective means of collaboration to better focus on their business.

Solution Details:

After proper planning, we collected all the needed information to smoothly migrate the client to Office 365 without any downtime. We used third party tools to build proper co-existence between both systems. Then we started with the migration batches and shifted the MX records completely. Ultimately, employees were able to connect to office 365 without any disruptions, using Azure AD Connect to unify identities and activate the single sign on solution.

The challenges we faced during this project revolved mainly around large email file sizes and users having too many folders as well as data saved on both the server and the PCs. After addressing those challenges, we accomplished a smooth, zero-downtime migration to Office 365 for our client.
