Microsoft are excited to announce the next step to bring these capabilities together in one experience Microsoft call Microsoft Copilot, your everyday AI companion. Copilot will use the context and intelligence of the web, your work data, and your current activity on your PC to offer better assistance – with your privacy and security as Microsoft's priority. It will be a simple and seamless experience, accessible in Windows 11, Microsoft 365, and in Microsoft's web browser with Edge and Bing. It will function as an app or appear when you need it with a right click. Microsoft will keep adding capabilities and connections to Copilot across to Microsoft's most-used applications over time to achieve Microsoft's vision of having one experience that works across your whole life.

Starting from Sept. 26, you can enjoy Copilot, Microsoft's new AI-powered feature, as part of the free Windows 11 update. Copilot will also be available on Bing, Edge, and Microsoft 365 Copilot later this year. Microsoft have also prepared some amazing new devices and experiences to help you work smarter, unleash your creativity, and meet the diverse needs of people and businesses. The next Windows 11 update is packed with more than 150 new features, making it one of Microsoft's most significant updates ever. It brings Copilot and new AI-enhanced experiences to apps like Paint, Photos, Clipchamp, and more right on your Windows PC. Bing will leverage the latest DALL.E 3 model from OpenAI and provide more tailored answers based on your search history, a new AI-powered shopping experience, and improvements to Bing Chat Enterprise, making it more mobile and visual. Microsoft 365 Copilot will be ready for enterprise customers on Nov. 1, 2023, along with Microsoft 365 Chat, a new AI assistant that will revolutionize the way you work. Moreover, Microsoft unveiled powerful new Surface devices that showcase all these AI experiences for you, and they are ready for pre-order starting today.

New Windows 11 Update delivers over 150 new features, including bringing the power of Copilot to the PC

Today, we’re thrilled to share our next step toward making Windows the destination for the best AI experiences – with a new update that delivers our most personal experience yet coming on Sept. 26.

Here’s a look at some of what’s new in the latest update for Windows 11:

Windows 11 (version 22H2) is bringing you new features and improvements on Sept. 26 to help you work faster, easier and smarter. Here are some of the highlights:

• Copilot in Windows is your smart assistant that can help you complete tasks with less effort and more efficiency. It’s always ready on the taskbar or with the Win+C shortcut, and it works with any app, screen size and device.

• Paint has been upgraded with AI to make drawing and creating fun and easy. You can now remove backgrounds, use layers and try out Cocreator, a new feature that uses generative AI to create amazing artworks in Paint.

• Photos has also been enhanced with AI to make editing your photos a snap. You can now blur the background of your photos with one click, search for photos based on their content or location, and store them in OneDrive (home or personal) accounts.

• Snipping Tool now lets you capture more content on your screen, including text and sound. You can also extract text from images, redact sensitive information and create engaging videos and content from your screen.

• Clipchamp, now with auto compose, helps you create and edit professional-looking videos with scene suggestions, edits and narratives based on your images and footage. You can easily share your videos with your family, friends and social media followers.

• Notepad now automatically saves your session state so you can close Notepad without any interruptions and resume where you left off. Notepad will also restore your previously open tabs and unsaved content and edits across those tabs.

• With the new Outlook for Windows, you can manage all your accounts (including Gmail, Yahoo, iCloud, and more) in one app. You can also write clear and concise emails, attach important documents and photos from OneDrive, and learn more at this link.

• File Explorer has been modernized with a new home, address bar and search box that help you access important and relevant content, stay updated with file activity and collaborate without opening a file. File Explorer also has a new Gallery feature that makes it easy to access your photo collection.
• Windows 11 has new text authoring experiences to voice access and new natural voices in Narrator, making it the most accessible version of Windows yet.

• Windows Backup makes moving to a new Windows 11 PC easier than ever. With Windows Backup, you can transfer most files, apps and settings from one PC to another without any hassle. Everything will be just as you like it on your new PC.
